Toyota and BYD will reveal forthcoming SUVs that are anticipated to launch in India by the end of the year, while Lexus will display a few prototypes.
At the forthcoming Bharat Mobility Expo, Toyota and its luxury sub-brand Lexus are getting ready to present a few SUVs and concept cars. An all-electric SUV will be on display at the 2025 Auto Expo by Chinese automaker BYD. Interestingly, these companies will probably also bring models from their current collection to the event.

New Toyota Land Cruiser 250 (Prado)

The new Land Cruiser 250 will be unveiled at the 2025 Auto Expo, Toyota recently stated. It is expected to be named the Land Cruiser Prado and will launch beneath the Land Cruiser 300. Although the exact engine options available in India are still unknown, the Land Cruiser 250 is offered worldwide with a variety of gasoline and diesel powertrains, including variants that are connected to hybrid technology. For comparison, 330 PS and 630 Nm are produced by the top-spec 2.4-liter turbo-petrol hybrid drivetrain.
Toyota Fortuner Hybrid

In our market, the Toyota Fortuner’s 2.8-liter diesel engine is anticipated to have hybrid technology. The Fortuner hybrid, which Toyota debuted in South Africa last year, is probably going to be on display during the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo. It has a 48V mild-hybrid system that generates 500 Nm and 201 PS (compared to the existing diesel engine’s 204 PS). It is anticipated that neither the features nor the design will change.
Lexus LF-ZC Concept

At the Bharat Mobility Expo, Lexus will introduce the LF-ZC Concept for the first time in India. An assertive exterior and a simple interior characterize this idea all-electric vehicle. According to Lexus, the LF-ZC’s low center of gravity concentrates on better driving characteristics, while its design boasts enhanced aerodynamics. Additionally, it has the new Arene OS, which enhances the driving experience by integrating AI conversation functionality with the driver’s choices.
Lexus ROV Concept

Additionally, Lexus will display the ROV (Recreational Off-Highway Vehicle) concept. It has a 1-liter hydrogen-powered engine that produces enough torque for off-road driving while concentrating on lowering carbon emissions. Built to withstand difficult terrain, the ROV Concept features off-road tires, an exposed suspension, and a protective cage.
Lexus NX and RX

At the 2025 Auto Expo, Lexus will showcase the NX and RX SUVs from their current lineup. The RX is priced at Rs 95.80 lakh (ex-showroom), while the NX starts at Rs 67.35 lakh (ex-showroom). While the RX has two engine options—a 250 PS 2.5-liter gasoline and a 371 PS 2.4-liter gasoline-hybrid—the NX is powered by a 244 PS 2.5-liter gasoline-hybrid engine.
BYD Sealion 7

The Sealion 7 electric SUV, which is anticipated to debut in India by the first quarter of 2025, will be unveiled by BYD during the 2025 Auto Expo. The Sealion 7’s stylish appearance and streamlined LED headlights and taillights are similar to those of the Seal electric sedan. With a stated range of up to 502 kilometers, it is available worldwide with a variety of battery pack configurations. The India-spec model’s powertrain details are still pending confirmation.
