The Mercedes-Benz E-Class has won the title of Premium Car of the Year, and the MG Windsor has been named the Green Car of the Year.
In 2024, several automobiles were introduced in India, including luxury models like the Mercedes-Benz E-Class and Kia Carnival, as well as the new Tata Curvv, Maruti Dzire, and Mahindra Thar Roxx. The top vehicles from these have now been recognized in three categories: Premium Car of the Year, Indian Green Car of the Year, and Indian Car of the Year (ICOTY). The following were the outcomes:

The Mahindra Thar Roxx took first place on the podium, with the Maruti Swift and Dzire filling out the other positions. The Mahindra Thar Roxx is priced between Rs 12.99 lakh and Rs 22.49 lakh and comes in six main variants: MX1, MX3, MX5, AX3L, AX5L, and AX7L.
ICOTY 2025 Green Car Of The Year: MG Windsor

Contenders: Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV & Maybach EQS SUV, BMW i5, Mini Countryman EV, BYD eMAX 7, BYD Seal, MG Windsor, Tata Punch EV, and Tata Curvv EV
This year’s most distinctive electric vehicle was the MG Windsor, particularly since it debuted a battery rental program in India that reduced the initial cost of ownership compared to its rivals. At the ICOTY 2025, it defeated the BMW i5 and BYD Seal, which finished second and third on the podium, respectively, to win the Green Car Of The Year title. There are three different models of the Windsor EV: Essence, Exclusive, and Excite. With the battery rental plan, the price range is Rs 9.99 lakh to Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

ICOTY’s 2025 Premium Car of the Year award went to the Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB, which debuted in October 2024 in its sixth-generation iteration. Second and third place in the award table went to the BMW 5 series and the Kia Carnival. Three variants are available: E 200, E 220d, and E 450, with prices ranging from Rs 78.50 lakh to Rs 92.50 lakh.
