Both companies are anticipated to bring back their small SUV names in our market, and Nissan is probably going to present a flagship SUV in 2025.
Nissan and Renault are two of the few automakers that haven’t released any new models in our market recently. However, with the anticipated 2025 return of two of their well-known SUV nameplates, that is probably going to change shortly. In light of this, the following list includes every Renault and Nissan vehicle that is anticipated to be introduced in India in 2025.
New Renault Duster

Expected Launch: Mid-2025
Expected Price: Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom)
Renault teased its next small SUV in March 2024, raising the possibility that the Duster will return to our shores. It’s already available in foreign markets under the ‘Dacia’ logo, which is Renault’s sister brand. New hybrid powertrain options, a completely redesigned cabin, and a new design are anticipated for the forthcoming Duster, which will rekindle competition in the market, particularly with the Hyundai Creta.
Renault Bigster

Expected Launch: Mid-2025
Expected Price: Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom)
A seven-seater version of the Duster is also available worldwide under the Dacia Bigster moniker. In addition to being bigger, the Bigster has comparable interiors, designs, and even engine choices in foreign countries. Shortly after the 5-seater Duster’s introduction in India, Renault is anticipated to introduce the Bigster to our market, most likely under the same name.
Model Year Updates To Current Renault Lineup
Expected Launch: To be announced
Expected Price Kwid: Rs 4.70 lakh (ex-showroom)
Expected Price Kiger: Rs 6 lakh (ex-showroom)
Expected Price Triber: Rs 6 lakh (ex-showroom)
In 2025, the French automaker is also anticipated to modernize its current lineup, which includes the Kwid, Kiger, and Triber. While keeping the present engine settings, these improvements are probably going to contain some new functionality and cosmetic adjustments. Although they have varying power outputs, the Kwid and Triber are both available with a single 1-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine.

While the Triber’s engine generates 72 PS and 96 Nm and comes with comparable gearbox options, the Kwid’s 1-liter petrol engine produces 68 PS and 91 Nm when mated with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT. Both a 72 PS 1-liter normally aspirated engine and a 100 PS 1-liter turbo-petrol engine are available for the Kiger. Standard gearbox options are a 5-speed manual, a CVT automatic for the turbocharged powertrain, and a 5-speed AMT for the naturally aspirated engine.
New Nissan Terrano
Expected Launch: Mid-2025
Expected Price: Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom)
In addition to Renault, Nissan hinted at its next small SUV, which might signal a resurgence of the Terrano name in India. The Terrano’s main design and cabin layout are anticipated to be comparable to the forthcoming Duster, with the exception of minor exterior and interior style variations. It will probably have the same platform, powertrain choices, and other parts.
Nissan Terrano 7-seater
Expected Launch: Mid-2025
Expected Price: Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom)
We also anticipate that a three-row Terrano will be available as the Bigster is probably going to be released in India. It will be powered by the same engine options and have a comparable interior and design to its five-seater predecessor. Both the Bigster and the 7-seater Terrano will compete with other 3-row SUVs like the Mahindra XUV700, Tata Safari, and Hyundai Alcazar when they launch.
2025 Nissan Patrol

Expected Launch: October 2025
Expected Price: Rs 2 crore (ex-showroom)
Additionally, it is anticipated that Nissan would introduce the Patrol, its flagship SUV, to India. As a fully built-up unit (CBU), it is anticipated to be sold for approximately Rs 2 crore (ex-showroom). Although the engine option for the India-spec vehicle is unknown, the Patrol is offered in international countries with 3.5-liter and 3.8-liter V6 petrol engine options.
Model Year Updates To Nissan Magnite

Expected Launch: To be announced
Expected Price: Rs 6 lakh (ex-showroom)
In 2025, the Magnite, which recently underwent a makeover, may receive a few little improvements. While the interior is finished in a new black and orange tone while keeping the overall arrangement, the outside features some modest cosmetic changes. The same engine options are available for the 2025 Magnite, including a 100 PS turbocharged petrol option and a 72 PS 1-litre normally aspirated petrol unit.
