The new Syros has added five new features to the market because it is being marketed as a high-end substitute for other sub-4m SUVs.
The Korean manufacturer’s newest sub-4m SUV, the Kia Syros, stands out from the competition thanks to its unique appearance. Additionally, it adds several functions that are novel for the sub-4m market. Let’s examine these characteristics:
Ventilated and Adjustable Rear Seats

In addition to having ventilated and adjustable front seats, the Kia Syros is the only vehicle in its class to have similar features in the back seats as well. The higher-spec HTX Plus variation has a rear seat ventilation feature, while the mid-spec HTK Plus variant offers a rear seat reclining and sliding capability. All of this guarantees rear-seat passengers a more comfortable ride.
Dual 12.3-inch Screens

Additionally, the Syros boasts the largest touchscreen and digital driver’s display in the subcompact SUV market, both of which are 12.3 inches in size. Additionally, the standard HTK variant comes with a 12.3-inch touchscreen, while the higher-spec HTX Plus variant comes with a digital driver’s display.
Digital AC Control Panel

The Kia Syros’s 5-inch digital AC control panel is one high-end feature that it shares with the Kia EV9. This panel, which comes in the one-below-top HTX Plus type, is positioned between the touchscreen and the digital driver’s display. Don’t worry; for added convenience, the climate control can be operated with physical controls.
Side Parking Sensors

The Syros has two side parking sensors on each side in addition to the front and rear parking sensors. This feature has never been offered by a sub-4m SUV before. The fully equipped HTX Plus (O) model is available, and we anticipate that it will cost above 15 lakh (ex-showroom).
64-colour Ambient Lighting
The 64-color ambient lighting on the Syros is a feature of the one-below-top HTX Plus model. While competitors like the Hyundai Venue and Nissan Magnite have similar features, they don’t have as many color options as the Syros.
Bonus: Flush Door Handles

The Syros has flush door handles, a high-end exterior feature, in addition to the comfort and interior characteristics mentioned above. The Syros also receives this feature from the base-spec HTK version, much like the larger touchscreen device.
Expected Price And Rivals

The Kia Syros will launch sometime in January 2025 and is anticipated to start at Rs 9.70 lakh (ex-showroom). Although it has no direct competitors, the Syros will face competition from subcompact and compact SUVs such as the Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Maruti Grand Vitara.
