In addition to recently released vehicles, the list includes forthcoming models such as the Skoda Kylaq and the Hyundai Creta EV.
Seeing test mules for new automobiles before they are released allows us to get a preview of their unreleased features and increases anticipation for the debut. Several models from various segments debuted in spy shots this year. While some of these have previously been introduced to the market, others have not. These are all the vehicles that were initially spotted in 2024.
Mahindra XUV 4XO EV
Spy photos of what appears to be the Mahindra XUV 3XO’s all-electric version were spotted testing in 2024. The spy photos showed the exterior design and provided a glimpse of the interior. The XUV 3XO EV is expected to have similar powertrain options as the current XUV400 EV, which has a claimed range of up to 456 km. Visually, it features EV-specific cosmetic updates while maintaining the overall design language. It also gets a similar cabin layout to the XUV 3XO, with styling accents to differentiate the two vehicles.
New Tata Punch

Several test mules of the updated Tata Punch were spotted this year; they displayed interior and exterior upgrades that were comparable to those of the Punch EV. It is anticipated to be on sale in 2025 and cost approximately Rs 6 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated Punch will likely get feature additions in the form of a bigger 10.25-inch infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, and a 360-degree camera. The powertrain division is not anticipated to undergo any modifications.

Although powertrain specifications are still pending, the Creta EV is anticipated to have a 400 km stated range.
Kia Carens Facelift

The facelifted Kia Carens, which is anticipated to arrive in our market next year, was first spotted by us. The test mule displayed a revised layout with new lighting components.
