Top 10 Must-See EVs Under Rs 30 Lakh at Auto Expo 2025: Your Guide to the Best Electric Rides!

At the Auto Expo 2025, we saw India’s first solar-assisted compact EV in addition to EVs from Hyundai, Maruti, and Tata.

Several manufacturers, including Maruti, Tata, Mahindra, Hyundai, Toyota, and others, showcased their products at the just concluded Auto Expo 2025. Both the mass-market and luxury segments of the expo were dominated by electric vehicles. The top ten EVs, all under Rs 30 lakh in price, that were on display at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 will be closely examined in this article.

Vayve Eva

Price – Rs 3.25 lakh to Rs 4.49 lakh

The Vayve Eva, which has two seats, is the first tiny EV in India to use solar power. It was recently introduced at Auto Expo 2025 after being previously shown as a concept at Auto Expo 2023. Despite having more contemporary stylistic features, the Vayve Eva shares a lot of similarities with the Mahindra e2O and Reva. It has a stated range of up to 250 km and is available with three different battery pack options: 9 kWh, 12.6 kWh, and 18 kWh.

VinFast VF 3

Expected Price: Rs 10 lakh onwards

If introduced here, the VinFast VF 3, a two-door small EV, would rank among the most reasonably priced small EVs in the nation. The VF 3 has a simple interior with room for four people and a boxy design language. It has a claimed range of up to 215 km and is outfitted with an electric motor that produces 43.5 PS and 110 Nm globally.

Maruti e Vitara

Expected Price – Rs 17 lakh onwards

At the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo, the Maruti e Vitara finally makes its production-spec premiere. With two battery pack options—49 kWh and 61 kWh—and a stated range of more than 500 km, the e Vitara is expected to be Maruti’s first all-electric vehicle. The interior of the e Vitara is upscale and has an assertive appearance. It also has a level 2 advanced driver assistance system (ADAS), which is a first for Maruti.

Toyota Urban Cruiser BEV Concept

Expected Price: Rs 18 lakh onwards

In essence, the Toyota Urban Cruiser BEV concept is the Maruti e Vitara under a different name. The Urban Cruiser BEV concept has the same silhouette as its Maruti counterpart, but it has a redesigned fascia to give it a unique look. The e Vitara’s interior and feature set are still essentially the same. It will likely also share its battery pack and electric powertrain options with the Maruti EV and is expected to offer a claimed range of over 550 km.

Tata Nexon EV Bandipur Edition

Price: Yet To Be Announced

The Bandipur Edition of the Tata Nexon EV is a tribute to Karnataka’s Bandipur National Park, which is well-known for its elephant and tiger reserves. It has Khaki brown upholstery on the inside and a new Bandipur Bronze exterior color. The 45 kWh battery pack variant of the Nexon EV Bandipur Edition has a claimed MIDC (Part I+II) range of 489 km.

Hyundai Creta Electric

Price Range: Rs 17.99 lakh to Rs 23.50 lakh

The Hyundai Creta Electric, the company’s most economical electric vehicle, was introduced at the 2025 Auto Expo. With a stated range of up to 473 kilometers, Hyundai’s Creta Electric comes with two battery pack options: 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh. Its entire design has been altered to make it more EV-specific, and it has certain additional features over its ICE (internal combustion engine) counterpart, such as electric boss mode and vehicle-to-load (V2L) charging capabilities.

Mahindra BE 6

Price Range – Rs 18.90 lakh to Rs 26.90 lakh

Additionally, the freshly released Mahindra BE 6 was present at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. Since test drives are already starting in a few places, customers can also get a hands-on look at the BE 6. The BE 6 has a stated range of up to 682 km and is available with two battery pack options: 59 kWh and 79 kWh (MIDC Part I+II). 

Mahindra XEV 9e

Price Range: Rs 21.90 lakh to Rs 30.50 lakh

Currently the premier model in Mahindra’s inventory, the XEV 9e is an electric SUV-coupe. It has a stated range of up to 656 kilometers and comes with two battery pack options: 59 kWh and 79 kWh. In addition to accepting reservations for the XEV 9e, Mahindra has begun a phased rollout of the EV’s test drives.

Tata Harrier EV

Expected Price: Rs 25 lakh onwards

At the Auto Expo 2025, we also had the opportunity to see the Tata Harrier EV in a production-ready configuration. The Harrier EV’s all-wheel-drive (AWD) drivetrain has also been verified by the manufacturer; however, the specifics of the battery pack have not yet been disclosed. Although the Harrier EV has EV-specific alloys, a grille, and a bumper, it still has the same appearance as a standard Harrier. It may have a stated range of more than 500 kilometers.

VinFast VF e34

Expected Price: Rs 25 lakh

The VinFast VF e34 was another electric SUV that debuted in India at the Auto Expo 2025. If it were to be introduced here, it might start at Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom). With a 41.9 kWh battery pack, the global-spec VF e34 electric SUV has a NEDC stated range of up to 277 km.
