The test drive’s first phase has started, and phases two and three will soon follow.
- There will be three stages of test drives available.
- Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Pune, and Chennai are all included in phase one.
- Phase three will begin in early February, and phase two will begin in late January.
- Pack One, Pack Two, and Pack Three are the three main variations of the BE 6 and XEV 9e.
- Wireless phone chargers, powered and ventilated front seats, and multi-zone auto air conditioning are among the features.
- With a stated range of up to 682 kilometers, the EVs are available with two battery packs: 59 kWh and 79 kWh.
- The BE6 and XEV 9e have pricing ranging from Rs 18.90 lakh to Rs 26.90 lakh and Rs 21.90 lakh to Rs 30.50 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India), respectively.
In some cities, Mahindra’s electric BE 6 and XEV 9e models are now available for test drives. According to Mahindra, test drives will be offered in three stages. The second stage is scheduled to begin on January 24, 2025, while the third phase will begin on February 7, 2025. The two EVs are currently available for test drives in Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Delhi, and Mumbai. Cities like Indore, Goa, Ludhiana, and Kolkata will be covered in the second phase, and test drives throughout India would be possible in the final phase. The BE 6 and XEV 9e are available from Mahindra in three board configurations, Pack One, Pack Two, and Pack Three. The features of the two electric vehicles are as follows:

Mahindra is providing features including wireless phone charging, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, and a 12.3-inch triple-screen setup for the XEV 9e and a double-screen setup for the BE 6. A fixed glass roof, motorized and ventilated front seats, and a heads-up display based on augmented reality are further features.
Mahindra is equipping the EVs with a 360-degree camera, a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and seven airbags (as standard) to guarantee occupant safety. Additionally, Level 2 advanced driving assistance system (ADAS) technologies including adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and automated emergency braking will be available on the BE6 and XEV 9e.

The rear wheels of both of these layouts are powered by a single motor system. With 175 kW DC fast charging, the battery packs can move from 20 to 80 percent in 20 minutes.
Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e Prices and Rivals

Other electric vehicles such as the Tata Curvv EV, Hyundai Creta Electric, Maruti Suzuki e Vitara, and MG ZS EV will compete with the Mahindra BE6, which is priced between Rs 18.9 lakh and Rs 26.9 lakh.
With a price range of Rs 21.9 lakh to Rs 30.5 lakh, Mahindra’s flagship XEV 9e will compete with the Tata Harrier EV and Tata Safari EV.
