10 New Cars Coming to India You’ll Love

From some mass-market ICE and EV products to a few premium models, the following year is set to be a busy one for the whole auto industry.

Many new models were introduced in 2024, making it a busy year for both automakers and buyers. We expect this trend will continue in 2025, with products from both mass-market and premium carmakers across a variety of niches. Without further ado, here are all of the vehicles slated to hit the market in 2025.

Maruti Suzuki e Vitara

Expected Launch: January 17, 2025
Expected Price: Rs 22 lakh (ex-showroom)

Maruti just unveiled the first teaser for the e Vitara SUV and revealed that it will debut its first all-electric product at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The e Vitara is likely to be released soon after its official reveal, with an estimated price of roughly Rs 22 lakh (ex-showroom). Globally, the Suzuki e Vitara is available with two battery pack options: 49 kWh and 61 kWh, with the India-spec e Vitara projected to have a claimed range of roughly 550 km.

Maruti Baleno Facelift

Expected Launch: March 2025
Expected Price: Rs 6.80 lakh (ex-showroom)

We expect Maruti to refresh its top hatchback, the Baleno, in 2025. Along with cosmetic improvements, the forthcoming Baleno will most certainly be available with a hybrid powertrain (as reported online), which might improve fuel efficiency even more. It is also expected to get feature upgrades like a larger infotainment system, a sunroof, and wireless phone charging.

7-Seater Maruti Grand Vitara

Expected Launch: June 2025
Expected Price: Rs 14 lakh (ex-showroom)

A three-row variant of the Maruti Grand Vitara SUV has been observed testing recently. While there has been no formal confirmation from the automaker, it is slated to go on sale in 2025. The test mule had external and interior modifications over the Grand Vitara and is expected to have the same feature package and engine options as the ordinary vehicle.

Maruti Brezza Facelift

Expected Launch: August 2025
Expected Price: Rs 8.50 lakh (ex-showroom)
The second-generation Maruti Brezza, which hasn’t had a major update since its premiere in 2022, is set to get a facelift in 2025. Along with design upgrades, the 2025 Brezza will most likely have additional features to compete with recent rivals such as the Skoda Kylaq and Kia Syros. It is expected to keep its current engine options, which include a CNG option combined with a 1.5-litre petrol engine producing 88 PS and 121.5 Nm in CNG mode.

Hyundai Creta EV

Expected Launch: January 17, 2025
Expected Price: Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom)

Hyundai is preparing to debut the electric version of the Creta SUV on January 17, 2025. The next EV will have some cosmetic changes over its ICE-powered cousin, and it is believed to contain features like a panoramic sunroof, cooled seats, and a wireless phone charger. The Creta EV is slated to have a stated range of 400 km and a price of roughly Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom).

Hyundai Venue EV

Expected Launch: April 2025
Expected Price: Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom)

The Venue, another Hyundai SUV, is planned to get an electric version by 2025. While we don’t have much information on the Venue EV, we expect it to have a range of around 300 kilometers. It is also expected to follow the Venue’s design language and include similar amenities like advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), ventilated seats, and an 8-inch touchscreen display.

Hyundai Tucson Facelift

Expected Launch: August 2025
Expected Price: Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom) 

The facelifted Tucson, which was revealed globally in November 2023, is slated to launch in India in 2025. Compared to the existing model, the new Tucson has interior and exterior cosmetic changes, and it will most likely be available with the same 2-litre petrol and 2-litre diesel engine options. Expect a minor price increase over the current-spec Tucson, which costs between Rs 29.02 lakh and 35.94 lakh (ex-showroom).

Hyundai Ioniq 6

Expected Launch: December 2025
Expected Price: Rs 65 lakh (ex-showroom)

Hyundai plans to expand its EV lineup with the release of the Ioniq 6 in 2025. It is available in a variety of powertrain configurations worldwide, with a claimed range of roughly 550 kilometers and a 0-100 kmph acceleration time of 5.1 seconds. The India-spec Ioniq 6 is expected to include a feature-rich interior with features such as a dual-display configuration for infotainment and the digital driver’s unit, a heads-up display, and eco-friendly materials used throughout the cabin.

Mahindra XUV 4XO EV/ XEV 4e

Expected Launch: March 2025
Expected Price: Rs 16 lakh (ex-showroom) 

Mahindra is anticipated to release an electric version of the XUV 3XO in 2025, dubbed the XUV 4XO EV or the XEV 4e. It is planned to be available with identical battery pack configurations as the XUV400 EV, which has a stated range of up to 456 kilometers. A panoramic sunroof, Harman Kardon sound system, 10.25-inch touchscreen system, and Level 2 ADAS are among the expected features. 

Mahindra XEV 7e

Expected Launch: March 2025
Expected Price: Rs 21 lakh (ex-showroom) 

We also expect Mahindra to release an electrified version of the XUV700 around 2025. It will most likely be launched as the XEV 7e, expanding the automaker’s new sub-brand dedicated solely to electric vehicles. The XEV 7e will have an outward style and cabin layout identical to the recently disclosed XEV 9e and will be available with a variety of powertrain options. It will most likely feature a triple-screen configuration, multi-zone climate control, and ADAS.
